Romain Dancre is a documentary and commercial director based in the French Alps. Romain was first inspired to pursue documentary filmmaking when filming the constant battle small fishermen in his town faced to keep their livelihoods in the face of the ever-growing industrial fishing methods.

Working on diverse projects from long or short documentaries, photography and commercials, he is perhaps best known for his naturalistic cinematography and a story-driven directing style grounded in his cinema vérité roots.
